FTP Site

The FTP site has two main purposes:

  • for sharing large files between users

  • to facilitate the transfer of large documents, photos, etc. to the Inkaba Operations Manager for publication/storage in the data repository.

Uploading to FTP-site

To upload to the FTP site, an FTP client must be used. Filezilla is recommended. The information required to log on to the server is:

  • Host: inkaba.org

  • Port: 21

  • Username: users.inkaba.org

  • Password: inkaba

Please upload files under appropriately named folders, to be created by yourself. Remember to clean up these files after downloading by relevant users.  Alternatively request these users to do so. This need to be applied in order to avoid unnecessary cluttering of the FTP folder. A 2Gb usage limit is set on this account to avoid abuse.

Files that have been uploaded via FTP, can thus also be downloaded via FTP or directly from the webpage - note the Downloading Files section.
